JONATHAn singletary
Jonathan Singletary is a Los Angeles-based artist, songwriter, and producer whose soulful sound is rooted in his gospel upbringing and shaped by a life lived across musical cities. The son of a gospel choir director, Jonathan was raised on the timeless voices of Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin, and the Isley Brothers. His journey from the Bay Area to Atlanta to Brooklyn has infused his artistry with an eclectic sonic palette—yet even his rock band, Harville, remains grounded in soul.
From leading Harville on the main stage at Afropunk Brooklyn to opening for Bruno Mars at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas, Jonathan has long balanced creative experimentation with emotional depth. Now, he's crafting a new, signature sound—one showcased in his latest single, “Best Part of Me” (2025). Written and produced by Jonathan, the track builds on his blend of soul, vulnerability, and genre-bending artistry. As a singer, rapper, and multi-instrumentalist, he draws inspiration from icons like Michael Kiwanuka, Andre 3000, Pharrell, and Coldplay, inviting listeners into a world of sonic surprise and heartfelt storytelling.
In addition to his solo music, Jonathan recently launched Piano & Prayer, a soul-soothing series of musical meditations, storytelling, and spiritual reflection available now on Patreon. Through this new offering, he invites his community into a space of healing, creativity, and connection.
With his recent move to Los Angeles, he is set to make his mark as both an artist and writer in the new year.
