JONATHAN

Jonathan Singletary is a Los Angeles-based artist, songwriter, and producer. The son of a gospel choir director was raised on the soul music of Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin, and the Isley Brothers. Growing up between the Bay Area, Atlanta, and Brooklyn has given Jonathan an eclectic sonic palette, but even his rock band Harville is deeply rooted in soul. Having launched as the frontman of rock-and-soul bands from the main stage at Afropunk Brooklyn with Harville to the Thomas and Mack Center opening for Bruno Mars in Las Vegas, Jonathan is crafting a new soulful sound marked by his recent single “Never Like This." The singer, rapper, and multi-instrumentalist is most inspired by the genre-bending work of Michael Kiwanuka, Andre 3000, Pharrell, and Coldplay and he’s guaranteed to surprise listeners with his creative range as he takes audiences on a journey through conflict and contemplation in his romantic and artistic pursuits. With his recent move to Los Angeles he is set to make his mark as an artist and writer in the new year.
